General Information
The WK&S will work with you to find the best possible options for your group or charter needs. Generally, two weeks notice is all that is needed to arrange a visit for your group, although some arrangements can be made with less notice. Groups are allowed to bring food onto the train for their parties, although we ask that you be considerate of the upholstered coach seats when having food on the train. The caboose interior features vinyl seat cushions and is not as sensitive to food spills. Decorations that will not affect painted surfaces are also allowed. You may board your train 15 minutes before departure time, and if you are sending invitations to a party, this may be the time you want your guests to arrive. GROUP RATE:

Available for groups of 20 or more people riding on any regularly scheduled train. (Special Events EXCLUDED)
Price: Adults:   $7.00
         Children: $3.50

PRIVATE CAR CHARTERS:

Available to any size group that wishes to have a specific car reserved for them on a train trip. The cost of the charter includes admission for the train ride. (Car charters are generally not available during special events; ask for details on specific dates.) You may also charter a train trip on a day when we are not normally operating; see "Custom Charters" in the next section

Two popular options during our regular operating days are:


CABOOSE RENTAL: $100
Available on any regularly scheduled train, seating capacity 15-18, ideal for children's birthday parties. One round trip lasts 40 minutes in the caboose reserved exclusively for your group. Extra tickets for "overflow" guests may usually be purchased at group rates for general seating in the rest of the train. Two round trips costs $150.00.

COACH RENTAL: $250.00

Rent an entire car on a regularly scheduled train. Our combine car seats 50 people and includes an open baggage area with a few small tables. (This is not a dining car, however.) A full length coach is also available with up to 70 seats. The round trip lasts approximately 40 minutes.  A second trip can be arranged by contacting us.

CUSTOM CHARTERS

The WK&S offers "Off-season"  charters using our diesel locomotive and your choice of equipment. These trains run when there are no other regular trains scheduled. Our larger cabooses (which seat 15 people) are generally used for birthday parties, and prices start at $250.00. Coaches and other equipment are also available, call or e-mail us for pricing and capacities. These trips are weather dependent in the winter, and are generally run on weekends at your convenience. Weekday trips can often be arranged as well. Let us know what you want to do!
